Study of the relation between leadership behaviors of school administrators and organizational narcissisms of psychological counselors

Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is examine of study of the relation between leadership behaviors of school administrators and organizational narcissisms of psychological counselors. The research was conducted in 2019-2020 academic year with a total of 285 psychological counselors, 154 of whom were women and 131 of whom were men, working in Giresun, Rize and Trabzon. In order to collect data in the research, "Paternalist Leadership Behaviors Scale of School Administrators", "Organizational Narcissisms Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used. As a result of the research, while there was a positive relation between the organizational narcissism levels of psychological counselors and the benevolent, authoritarian and exploitative leadership behaviors of school administrators, no significant relation was found with moral leadership behaviors. In addition, the levels of organizational narcissism of psychological counselors differ significantly according variables of gender and spent time as a teacher; while them do not differ significantly according to variables of learning level, off-duty assignment and institution level.
