Abstract (EN)

In this study, sociotropic-autonomic personality traits and conflict resolution methods of school administrators are discussed. The aim of this study is to determine the levels of sociotropic and autonomic personality traits of school administrators and to determine the predictive levels of the variables that predict these traits. The other purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a significant difference in the use of conflict resolution methods by managers with high and low sociotropic and autonomic levels. Among the teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education throughout the province of Erzincan in the 2020-2021 academic year, the administrators participating in the sample were selected. In the process of applying the sociotropic and autonomic personality traits scale, sample selection was made based on the cluster sampling method. Descriptive statistics were used to determine the levels of sociotropic and autonomic personality traits of school administrators. The predictive levels of the independent variables regarding the sociotropic and autonomic personality traits of the managers were determined by using logistic regression analysis. The dependent variables of the logistic regression analysis were determined in the cluster analysis question. According to the findings obtained from the research, it was determined that the sociotropic personality traits of school administrators were significantly predicted by the variables of teaching level and age. According to another finding, it was observed that the autonomic personality traits of school administrators were predicted by the gender variable. It was determined that the conflict resolution method most used by school administrators with high sociotropic personality traits was integration. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between school administrators' level of autonomic personality traits and the conflict resolution methods they used.
