Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between the technological leadership behaviors of school administrators and the innovation climate in schools, according to teachers' views. 539 teachers working at different education levels in private public schools in Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul province participated in this study, which was prepared by using the correlational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The teachers participating in the research were selected by simple random sampling method. In order to collect the data of the research, "Personal Information Form" to determine the demographic characteristics of the teachers participating in the research, "School Principal Technological Leadership Behavior Scale" developed by Durnalı (2018) to determine the Technological Leadership Behavior Level of School Principals, and "Innovation Climate Scale in Schools" developed by Polatcan (2019) to determine the innovation climate level in schools. were used. The obtained data were processed into SPSS 22.0 program to be analyzed. Since the data obtained showed normal distribution, T-test and ANOVA test were performed. When a significant difference was found in the ANOVA result, the LSD test from Post Hoc Tests was performed to determine the reason for the difference. The significance level was taken as .05. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between the technological leadership behaviors of school administrators and the innovation climate in schools. Linear regression analysis was conducted to determine whether the technological leadership behaviors exhibited by school administrators are a predictor of the innovation climate in schools. According to the results obtained from the analysis of the findings, teachers see the technological leadership behavior level of school administrators and the level of innovation climate in schools high. According to the opinions of the teachers, while there were differences in the variable of working time with the principal, there were no differences in the variables of gender, age, professional seniority, education level and level of employment. However, a significant difference was found between the innovation climate and the sub-dimension of the variable of seniority, openness to innovation. It is seen that there is a positive and high-level relationship between the technological leadership behaviors of school administrators and the innovation climate in schools. In addition, it was concluded in the study that the technological leadership behaviors of school administrators affect the innovation climate in schools and 88% of the innovation climate in schools is explained by the technological leadership of school administrators.
