Abstract (EN)
It is seen that many studies have been carried out recently in relation to the variables that affect the behaviors and attitudes of the employees. This research aims to determine the organizational alienation of teachers working in primary education institutions under extraordinary conditions. In this study, the Covid-19 epidemic, which affected the whole world, was evaluated as an extreme condition for educational activities. In addition, organizational alienation levels in educational organizations were also examined in this process. In this research, the descriptive survey model was used as one of the quantitative research methods. The research population consists of 562 teachers working in schools in Antalya province Finike in the 2021-2022 Academic Year. Among all public and private schools in the Finike district, 292 teachers working in public primary education institutions and selected through simple random sampling constituted the sample of this study. During the data collection process of the study, the "personal information form" prepared by the researcher and Elma's (2003) "Work Alienation Scale" were applied to the teachers. To inquire whether there are significant differences between the group means in terms of gender, marital status, and branch variables T-Test was used when the variances were homogeneous for the total and dimensions of the scale. To determine whether there were significant differences between the group means in terms of the seniority variable One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), one of the parametric tests, was preferred in cases where the variances were homogeneous. According to the findings obtained from the research, it was concluded that the alienation of the teachers working in official primary education institutions during the Covid-19 epidemic process, which is an extraordinary process, occurred at a "moderate" level. It has been determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of powerlessness, meaninglessness, and isolation, which are the sub-dimensions of work alienation. In addition, statistically significant differences were found between the results of work alienation in the variables of teachers' gender, marital status, and professional seniority.
