Olanlar Şeyhi İbrahim Efendi's views on sufism in the light of Vahdetname/Usul-i Muhakkıkin

The purpose of this study is to examine life and works of Sheikh Olanlar Şeyhi İbrahim Efendi and to determine his views on sufism in the light of Usûlü'l-Muhakkıkîn. Olanlar Şeyhi İbrahim Efendi who lived in XVII. century is one of the eminent Malam i sheikhs. Ibrahim Efendi was not only satisfied with the initiation duty but also presented his views on sufism by the way of poem works. He has works like Divan, Müfid ü Muhtasar and Usûl-i Muhakkikin. İbrahim Efendi's Usûl-i Muhakkikin is a mystic masnawi which was written in a didactic style. It consists of 1262 verses. In this work, there are some matters like oneness of thing, the perfect man, the five divine presences, heart, prophet-saint and rules of coversation. In the appendix of our thesis, making use of two hand-written copies, it was presented a transcribed text of the aforementioned work.
