This thesis is related, to the study of the verses of Surat Al- Ma'idah, which contains disagreements and explanatory sayings between the two imams Mujahid and Qatadah in the book Tafsir Zad Al-Masir by Imam Ibn Al-Jawzi, a comparative study. That the researcher's, approach in his research, was the method of comparison between the different sayings, and that the value of this topic is related to knowing the most correct saying among the sayings in the interpretation, and that choosing what was most likely for him is his face from the work of the researchers, and this is after discussing the sayings and extending the evidence and what is the basis for each saying. It is closer to the truth according to the evidence and according to the rules considered by the people of this science, and here is the work of the researcher in this thesis. The marked (disputed issues between Mujahid and Qatadah in the interpretation of ,zad Al-wasita by Ibn Al-Jawzi Surat Al-Ma'idah as a model, a comparative study). It became clear to the researcher that Ibn al-Jawzi had a methodology in his interpretation. Al-Masir added that he mentions multiple sayings and interpretational differences in one issue, and just as there are issues agreed upon in their interpretation, especially between Mujahid and Qatadah, there are also issues that have differed in their interpretation. Some of them are in the causes of revelation, and some of them are in the multiplicity of meanings in one word, and most of them are differences without disagreement, and diversity without opposition. And that Ibn al-Jawzi reconciled between them, or sometimes he preferred one over the other, according to his methodology in weighting, and often he did not give preference. Through the study, the researcher concluded that Mujahid and Qatadah are among the great followers and the most famous of them who were interested in the science of interpretation, and that Mujahid is ahead of Qatadah in some sayings because he is the closest to the era of the Companions and took from them and heard from them such as Ibn Abbas, Aisha, Abu Hurairah, Abdullah bin Omar and others, may God be pleased with them. , and it is also the one for whom Al-Tabari wrote more than others, and perhaps this collection will be a reference after that to the sayings of the two venerable followers, and it will also be a key to the perfection of the interpretation of the two imams Mujahid and Qatadah.
