Özet (EN)
ʻUmar Ibn Muẖammad Al Uskūbī, who was called the preacher of Haghia Sophia, and the master of scholars, is one of the prominent Ottoman scholars of his time whose origin traces back to the city of Dibra, located in present-day North Macedonia, and close to the city of Skopje to which he is attributed. He left a scientific wealth represented in several books on exegesis, Sufism, sermon, and others. Among his most important works is his book entitled Fatẖu Al Ghiṯā ʻan Wajhi Al Adhrāʼ, which is classified as a supercommentary (ẖāshiyah) and annotation (ta'līq) on Tafsīr of Al Bayḏāwī. This work includes his viewpoints on exegesis, theology and other sciences, and his criticism of some commentators and some annotators' opinions on Al Bayḏāwī's tafsīr. This study, which consists of the introduction, two chapters, and the conclusion, revolves around his life, scientific works, and his aforementioned book. Thus, it is a study of his methodology in terms of traditional and rational interpretation of the Qur'an and his criticism of some scholars, which is arranged according to the sciences that deal with these issues; followed by the critical edition of his mentioned work.
