Abstract (EN)
The present study named "Ömer Karibi and his Diwance" (Examination-Text) aims to introduce Ömer Karibi, one of the mystic poets and Ushshaqi Sheiks in the seventeenth century, give detailed information about his life and works, examine his Diwance in terms of form, language and content features, and transcribe his poems in different manuscripts into Latin letters. In the introduction part of the study which consists of three main sections, some information on "Religious - Sufi Literature" was briefly given and then, the religious and mystical life in the seventeenth century was briefly mentioned. Afterwards, Ömer Karibi's life and the form, language and contents of his Diwance were examined in detail under the main title of "Chapter One". The religious, mystical and literary concepts in Diwance were elaborately analyzed under the main title of "Chapter Two". Finally, the two copies of the Diwance were compared and a critically-written text was presented in the last section.
