Özet (EN)
Pain in the shoulder area may occur as a result of damage to the rotator cuff muscles by the surface under the acromion. İn our study, we looked at the existing MRI images of 120 male and 120 female patients admitted to private Adana Yaşam Medical Center in 2019 and Gaziosmanpaşa Education and Research Hospital of the University of Healty Sciences in 2020. Acromion morphology and the relationship of subacromial distance measurements with age, sex, sports, blood pressure, diabetes, height, weight and pain were aimed to be examined. In our study, Type I acromion rate was 29,6%, Type II acromion rate was 64,2%, Type III acromion rate was 4,6% and Type IV acromion rate was 1,7%. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference in subacromial distance values compared to acromion types (p<0,001). It was found that the subacromial distance values of patients with Type 3 acromion were lower than those of patients with Type 1, Type 2 and Type 4 acromion. In many studies, the critical value for subacromial distance was determined as 7 mm. It was found that the percentage of men in patients with subacromial distance values above 7 mm was higher than in patients with subacromial distance values below 7 mm (p<0,001). Acromion type percentages were found to be statistically significant in subacomial distance groups (p<0,001). It was obtained that the percentage of smoking in patients with a subacromial distance value above 7 mm was higher than in patients with a subacromial distance value below 7 mm (p=0,012). As a result of the study, we believe that the value of subacromial distance and acromion morphology should be considered as an important parameter in patients with shoulder pain.
