Abstract (EN)

In this study, the analysis and design of prestressed I-section continuous beams are done theoretically and experimentally. The two most common methods used in the calculation of prestressed continuous beams, the Load Balancing Method and the Elastic Analysis Method, are examined and compared. In the study, the beams were designed for bending and therefore no shear reinforcement was used. The beams are prepared with normal concrete and one of them is prepared by adding steel fiber additives. Only one cable is applied to the beams. Beams are produced as 4.30 meters long, post-tensioned, and bonded. In the experiments, the load on the beams was increased gradually and the bearing capacity values of the beams were determined. In addition, the load-displacement values of the beams in the middle of the span were determined and the results were interpreted.
