The information obtained during the preventive law enforcement activity and their value of evidence in Criminal Procedure

One of the basic duties of the State is the protection of public order. Fighting against crime and criminality is also included in this duty. Law enforcement activities have important role in fighting against crime and criminality. The main purpose of the preventive law enforcement activities is to prevent the crime from being committed. However, it is not always possible to achieve this goal. During the preventive law enforcement activities, it is possible to reach some information which can be used as evidence in criminal procedure. In this study, firstly, the concept of preventive law enforcement activity is discussed. Then, it is discussed what kind of information could be obtained as a result of each measure applied within the scope of these activities and whether this information could be evaluated as evidence in criminal procedure.
