Solution of corrugated sheet production problem by optimization techniques method

The aim of this thesis is to design the mathematical modeling to implement production in optimum level about cost, outage and waiting period in the phase of combinational manufacturing which is the most important process of the corrugated cardboard production processes and to carry out it. Although there is a huge number of works for solving similar problems, there is no special work about corrugated production optimization. The combinational manufacturing process has been implementing by the craftsmen by gathering products which are chosen roughly for now on. In this study, first of all, what the corrugated production is and processes of it are introduced basically. Then the combinational manufacturing which is the main purpose of this study is focused. In addition to this, similar works like cutting stage problem or glass cutting problem are mentioned and the differences of corrugated production from the others are pointed. After that, according to the main aim of this study, the optimization conditions are introduced and the mathematical model of the problem is introduced. In this study, the problem of combinational manufacturing in the corrugated cardboard production is suggested that it can be solved by both linear programming and a suitable algorithm. Then, it is seen that the suggested solution really provides its optimum. In final section of this work, the numerical results of the solutions are presented. According to this data, the suggested optimization is turned out to be an advantage. This study helps on considerably the decrease in production costs. With the usage of linear programming, the solution is gotten rapidly. In the same way, because of the fact that the suggested algorithm passes the probabilities which are impossible, it also gets a rapid solution.
