Abstract (EN)

It was planned to comparatively examine the effects of feeding with organic feed under organic growing conditions of Karayaka sheep bred in Tokat province on the fertility characteristics, feed consumption and milk yield of the sheep, physical and chemical properties of milk and fatty acid composition of milk compared to traditional feed. Trial groups; It was formed as Control (Traditional barley), Organic Barley, Organic Triticale, Organic Corn. In this study, 30 karayaka sheep, 3-4 years old, average 56±0.7 kg live weight, raised in organic conditions, and a total of 40 non-pregnant karayaka sheep, 10 of which constitute the control group, and 37 lambs born from these sheep were used. According to the research results; Trial rations did not create a statistically significant difference in reproductive traits. Although the effects of the experimental rations on the feed consumption of the sheep in the experimental groups are not statistically significant, feeding with the control ration; It significantly increased the milk yield of sheep compared to feeding with Organic Triticale, Organic Barley and Organic Corn ration. Feeding with Organic Barley, Organic Triticale and Organic Corn ration significantly increased the dry matter and fat content of milk compared to control ration feeding. In addition, summer feeding significantly increased the dry matter and fat content of milk, while decreasing the fat-free dry matter and protein content, freezing point and density of milk compared to winter feeding. In the study, winter feeding significantly increased the linoleic acid content of sheep milk compared to summer feeding. While winter feeding increases the saturated fatty acids (butyric acid, caproic acid, caprylic acid, capric acid, lauric acid, myristic acid) content of sheep milk compared to summer feeding; decreased the content of unsaturated fatty acids oleic acid and linolenic acid and significantly increased the content of linoleic acid. When the developmental characteristics of the lambs born in the experimental groups were examined, 0-150. No significant difference was detected in terms of daily average daily live weight gains. In addition, according to the results of the research; Organic farming decreased the milk yield of sheep compared to conventional farming and increased the dry matter and fat content of the milk. In organic farming, feeding with organic barley and organic triticale decreased the omega-6 fatty acids content of sheep milk, while feeding with organic triticale increased the omega-3 fatty acid content of sheep milk.
