The importance of job in an individual?s life is indisputable. The employee is the important element affecting the prevalence, the success and the failure of a company. A successful job envioranment is believed to be created when individual interests are put aside for the sake of obtaining mutual benefits. At this point, providing job satisfaction an organizational commitment is essential. The present research examines the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment and personal traits. The survey instrument through which the research was conducted consists of Three Component Organizational Behavior Questionnaire; Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire; Ego States Questionnaire; and finally demographic questionnaire aimed to collect demographic data. The survey instrument is sent to white color employees in big-scaled organizations; the analysis is made from the data collected from 304 valid data. The data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 16.0. Demographic characteristics were calculated by avaraging in order to form a profile of the sample. Then the reliability and validity of the instruments are tested. Regression analysis was used to evaluate the hypothesis; and finally interactions between variables were tested. The present study suggests that there is a link between some dimensions of ego involvement and the dimensions of organizational commitment and that some dimensions are negatively associated. It is argued that some ego involvement dimensions and job satisfaction dimensions are negatively related while someother have a favorable relationship. Likewise some job satisfaction dimensions have prediction effect over organizational commitment dimensions. When the moderation is tested, respecting the interaction between variables, it is concluded that job satisfaction has a mediation effect over the relation between personality and organizational commitment.
