Crisis management in relation to organization environment interaction

Environmental dynamism and complexity and contineity of change effect organizations which are open systems and urge them to change. In this conditions, organizations' ability to live and thrive depends on their adaptation to the environment in which they live. In the organizations which don't adapt themselves to the external environmental changes, due to their structual characteristics and/or managerial insufficiency, crisesis indespensable. It is difficult for organizations to response to the crises with their traditional ways of doing job. For that reason, they have to possess different management policies. In crises periods the need for new practices brings about a series of so- called "Crisis Management". On the other hand, it is a fact that due to the globalization, particularly in transition times which necessitate entegraiton with the global firms, they need knowledge of "Crisis Management" much more then normal times. This research has been prepared with a view to help manager get ready for crises, get rid of it with the least possible damage and emerge from it with a new dynamism and strength. In the theoretical context of this research entitled "Crises Management in Relation to Organization - Environment Interaction " such topics as definition of crises, external and internal factors lead to it, process of crises and its consequences, crises management in organizations and the methods managers are to make use of to maintain organizations adaptation to external environment have been dealt with. In the field study part, we have dwelt on the results of the crises management.
