Abstract (EN)
This research aimed to examine the effects of perceived organizational support, types of organizational culture perception and some demographic variables on glass ceiling barrier perception of working women. Research population was made up of working women in tourism establishments in Istanbul. The Sample size was 395 working women drawn from the population by random sampling method. Research data were gathered by a Likert type questionnaire including scales on perceived organizational support, perception of organizational culture typologies and glass ceiling barrier perception. Confirmatory factor analyses, path analysis, and bootstrapping techniques were implemented as techniques of analysis using SPSS and AMOS softwares. Organization support was exogenous, organizational culture and glass ceiling barrier perception were endogenous variables in the structural equation model. Demographic variables are designed as control variables. Research findings showed that while organizational support decreases glass ceiling barrier perception, team culture increases it. Tenure, age, income level, marital status and having children were found to be factors affecting the positive relationship between perceived organizational support and glass ceiling barrier perception. Besides, it was found that positive effect of perceived organizational support on glass ceiling barrier perception was positively partially mediated by entrepreneurial culture and team culture.
