A research on relationship between organizational culture,organizational identification and organizational silence

The purpose of this study is yo examine the relationship between organization culture, organizational identification and organizational silence. For estimating this relationship a survey is conducted by using Moel and Ashforth?s (1991) organizational identification scale and Dyne and et all. (2003) organizational silence scale and Cooke and Lafferty?s (1987) organization culture inventory. The data fort his study is collected from 402 staffs working in a metropolitan municipality in Turkey.The data are anaylzed primarily with expolarotory factor analysis. In the result of this analysis, three general organization culture types are consisting of seven sub dimensions, organizational identification is consisting of one sub dimension and organizational silence is consisting of three sub dimensions. In the analysis, it is spotted that the organization has more passive/defensive organizational culture features and prosocial silence behaviour than the others, additionally the staff?s organizational identification level is relatively high. Furthermore, in the correlation analysis, it?s occured significant relationships between some dimensions of organizational culture and organizational identification, oragnizational silence dimensions, but additional studies are needed to affirm the generality of the findings.Keywods: Organizational Culture, Organizational Identification, Organizational Silence
