Abstract (EN)
The changes brought about by globalization clearly affect individual and social life. By the reflection of the change on the competition conditions, it has important influences in the business world and employees. Along with the increase in the competition conditions, some new concepts have emerged in working environment. The concept of emotional harassment (mobbing), affects negatively the interaction of employees and creates psychological, physiological and social irreparably harmful effects. It has begun to be subject to scientific research in recent years. The detailed consideration of this new violence path that threatens individuals and the work environment in enterprises, identification of the risk factors and their impacts is an important step for the interaction strategies. In this study, it has been aimed to evaluate the mobbing perceptions of employees according to different personality types by examining the relationship with the concept of personality in order to investigate the individual effects of the concept of mobbing. In the research, some terminology has been used, such as "neuroticism, openness to experience, agreeableness, concienciousness and extrovertness". Five Factor Personality Characteristics Scale has been used to determine the personality traits of the researchers who collected the data by questionnaire method. The Mobbing Scale developed by Leyman has been used to evaluate employees' mobbing perception. As a result of the research, it was found that the personality traits of the employees as a general and its subscales were negatively correlated with the mobbing exposure perception. In this case, individuals with high personality scores showed decreased mobbing exposure perception.
