The effect of organizational justice on job satisfaction: A research on the teachers working at state schools in the Central district of Hakkari province

Abstract (EN)

Organizational justice perceptions and job satisfaction levels of teachers, who constitute the basic structure of education, directly affect the quality of education. Therefore, teachers create a positive or negative perception of job satisfaction with their perceptions of organizational justice on their institutions or schools. However, this can lead to individuals who adapt to their jobs with high motivation and as a reflection of this create a more efficient result and a happy teacher-student profile, but can lead to an environment in the opposite direction. Job satisfaction, which is an important result of the perception of organizational justice, is formed by the influence of individual factors as well as organizational factors such as school administration's neutral management style, communication style, the degree of importance given to teachers 'opinions and thoughts in the decision-making process, teachers' wages, promotion and working conditions. Therefore, in this study, the effects of teachers' perception of organizational justice on job satisfaction were investigated. In addition, it is analyzed whether the demographic characteristics of teachers create a difference in their perceptions of organizational justice and job satisfaction. The universe of the research constitutes the teachers working under the Ministry of National Education in the central district of Hakkari province. The number of questionnaires to be carried out in the study was calculated using simple random sampling method, 285 was found as a sample, and 290 teachers were contacted online and were asked to fill in the questionnaires. "Personal Information Form", "Organizational Justice Scale" and "Job Satisfaction Scale" were used in the study. As a result of the research, it was determined that teachers' perception levels of procedural justice, distributive justice and interactional justice were above the average. In addition, when the job satisfaction levels of the teachers are examined in this study, it is clearly seen that the external and internal job satisfaction levels as well as the general job satisfaction levels are above the average. Teachers' internal satisfaction is explained by distributive justice in the first place, interactional justice in the second and procedural justice perception in the third place.
