Abstract (EN)
The discipline of organizational behavior helps organizations increase efficiency, motivation, and alignment by effectively utilizing human resources in the global competitive environment, while the human-centric nature of the tourism sector links customer satisfaction to employee behaviors, emphasizing the critical role of this discipline in creating a strong organizational culture and sustainable competitive advantage. This research aims to systematically examine organizational behavior topics within the context of the tourism sector, identifying which areas have been studied more extensively and where the focus of these studies lies. Accordingly, a systematic analysis of organizational behavior in the tourism sector has been conducted based on national and international scientific databases, and qualitative data were gathered using a phenomenological research method with academics working in the tourism field. These methods were evaluated with a holistic approach to deeply analyze the scope, strategic importance, and application areas of organizational behavior in the sectoral context. According to the research findings, at the national level, leadership, job satisfaction, and intention to leave the job are the most frequently studied topics, while at the international level, leadership, motivation, personality, job satisfaction, and stress are the predominant topics. Job satisfaction has been identified as the most frequently addressed topic at both national and international levels. The reduction of negative-themed studies is associated with the perception of insecurity in the sector and a cautious approach toward negative issues. Phenomenological research results indicate that organizational behavior topics will continue to attract interest, but artificial intelligence and information technologies will emerge as prominent areas in the future, with this integration being crucial for innovative approaches and sustainable success. The findings of the literature review and phenomenological research highlight the need for an in-depth examination of organizational behavior both academically and within the sector. The findings are expected to create a foundational reference framework for the field of organizational behavior in the tourism sector, providing a comprehensive roadmap for future researchers in this area. Furthermore, the strategic importance and broad research potential of organizational behavior will contribute to diversifying and deepening academic studies in this field, enabling the development of different research questions and methods.
