Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to reveal how organizational power distance and mushroom management perceptions of academics working in the field of sports sciences have a predictive effect on flow experience. While the population of the study consists of sports science academics working at various universities in Turkey, the sample consists of 414 sports science academics who voluntarily participated in the study. Personal information form (gender, age, academic title, duration of professional experience), organizational power distance scale, mushroom management perception scale and flow experience scale were used to collect the data of the study. Structural equation model (SEM), one of the social science research models, was used as a model in the study. spss 24, spss amos and spss process macro analysis programs were used to analyze the obtained data. As a result of the study: It was observed that organizational power distance had no effect on the flow experience, organizational power distance increased the perception of mushroom management, and the perception of mushroom management increased the flow experience. In addition, while organizational power distance has no effect on the flow experience, it has been determined that mushroom management perception plays a mediating role and increases the flow experience. The sociodemographic variables in the study (gender, age, academic title, duration of professional experience) did not play any moderating role in the effect of organizational power distance on flow experience, the effect of organizational power distance on mushroom management perception, and the effect of mushroom management perception on flow experience.
