The effect of organizational trust and organizational justice on individual job performance: A research on remote workers

Abstract (EN)
The purpose of the research is to investigate the effects of organizational trust and organizational justice independent variables on remote workers' individual job performance. The scope of the research covers waged remote employees working for public or private industries in Turkey. The criterion for remote work is selected as employees who have worked for at least one month in the last year in a different location than their immediate supervisors. A survey consisting of 46 questions was used for the research. 387 valid responses were received. The data obtained were analyzed using reliability, validity, correlation and regression methods through SPSS statistical program. As a result of the survey, the interpersonal trust dimension of organizational trust and the interactional justice dimension of organizational justice were observed to have a direct and positive impact on individual job performance. The internal trust and system trust dimensions as well as procedural justice and distributional justice dimensions did not have any meaningful effect on individual job performance. It was also observed that organizational justice did not have any mediating role between organizational trust and individual job performance. In the conclusion part, the findings were evaluated by presenting various suggestions to the readers and researchers.
