The effect of organizational cynicism on cyberloafing: A field study

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine whether there are differences between the employees participating in the survey to determine the effect of organizational cynicism on cyberloafing. In order to measure the effect of organizational cynicism on cyberloafing, active fieldwork was conducted for the employees of a public institution in Gümüşhane and data was collected. 257 people working in the institution constitute the sample of this study. Survey method was preferred as data collection tool within the scope of the study and demographic characteristics, organizational cynicism scale and cyberloafing scale were used while creating the questionnaire. The 24.0 version of SPSS for windows program was used to analyze the data. In the normality analysis test, it was determined that the distribution was normal according to the skewness and kurtosis values. In order to test the hypotheses put forward in the research, the data obtained were evaluated by factor analysis, frequency analysis, ANOVA, t test, regression and correlation analysis.In the first part of the research, the concept of cynicism, its development process, cynicism dimensions, types, causes and results are mentioned. As a result of the study, it was concluded that r organizational cynicism has a positive and significant relationship on cyberloafing. Another finding obtained as a result of the analyzes was that positive and significant results were obtained between organizational cynicism and cyberloafing sub-dimensions, and it was also concluded that the organizational cynicism and cyberloafing perceptions of the participants differed according to demographic variables.
