The source of organizational stress and the sample of a study on academician

Business world has a continuous effort for the aim of increasing the income. It?s certain that, all these efforts are able to develop the profitable and economic producing methods and the usage of modern technology in production, contributes to the wealthy of a country. However, these approaches give rise to affect the employees by the changes that carry various aspects. Changing conditions in business and in environment cause to emerge many healthy problems related to stress which is mentioned as the illness of the age. The aim of this work is to make a detailed research about the strategies which could be used in the management of the organizational stress and the sources and the results of organizational stress in lecturers and also to take a poll with these theoretic knowledge. Therefore this work will be searched in two parts; theoretic way and experimental way. In the first chapter of the theoretic part, the concept of stress, the kinds of stress and its relations with the similar concepts are explained. In the second chapter, the environmental stress sources are emphasized besides the organizational stress and its sources. As for the third chapter, the results and the management of the organizational stress are mentioned. The fourth and the last chapter of the thesis covers a poll that is taken on the staff of Yeditepe University, Dogus University and Ondokuzmayıs University. In the questionary under the title ?source of organizational stress and application on workers?. There are 6 factor diefinational information and 44 factor close- ended questions and the questionary was tested by the help at likert scale of five. All the data are evaluated in computer using SPSS V. 10, 0 programme. While poll is evaluated, information of frequency, meani std.dev., One Way Anova, T*test is done.
