Investigation of organizational citizenship behavior in terms of personal characteristics and organizational socialization

Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to determine the role of teachers' personality traits and organizational socialization levels on organizational citizenship behaviors. The sample of the study consists of 408 teachers who voluntarily participated in the study in the central district of Kars. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. In addition to the personal information form,"Organizational Citizenship Scale", "Organizational Socialization Scale" and "Personality Test Based on Adjectives" were used as data collection tools. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson correlation and regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, it was revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and all its sub-dimensions and organizational socialization sub-dimensions. It has been revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between all the sub-dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior and the sub-dimensions of the five-factor personality scale, agreeableness and responsibility. Again, it was concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between courtesy, conscientiousness and civic virtue and openness to experience. It was also revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between conscientiousness and civic virtue and extraversion.
