This study, to model computer aided design of open pit mining, is telling about Gemcom Surpac which has an important role in the mining sector and is used actively to design open pit and underground mining models. For this purpose, Trabzon Sürmene Kutlular copper open pit mining is projected which is planned and applied by Karadeniz Bakır İşletmeleri between 1986 and 1995 and is applicable for open pit mining. For thesis, this study includes 3-d modeling of ore body area, geo-statistical evaluation of drill hole databases, 3-d modeling of ore body, reserve calculations, creating block model and 3-d bench design. According to this project, the superiority of computer aided design from the classical methods of modeling and the easy applicability of the statistical analysis which has applied in classical methods has been demonstrated and in the result, reserve calculation of Kutlular Copper Mine, project work and open pit mine design has been applied.
