Abstract (EN)
In this study, species belonging to the genus Gobio Cuvier, 1816 distributed in Central Anatolia (Gobio fahrettini, Gobio gymnostethus, Gobio hettitorum, Gobio insuyanus, Gobio intermedius and Gobio microlepidotus) were examined taxonomically. Individuals belonging to the species were collected with a SAMUS 1000 model portable electroshock device between 2006-2017 and preserved in the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Zoology Collection (FFR). As a result of morphological comparisons, it was determined that Gobio fahrettini and Gobio intermedius were valid species. Since no significant morphological difference was detected between Gobio gymnostethus and Gobio insuyanus, it is thought that the two species may be synonymous with each other. Since no species-based difference was detected between Gobio hettitorum and Gobio microlepidotus, it is thought that these two species may be synonymous with each other. The data obtained in the study revealed the need for molecular and morphologic studies.
