Abstract (EN)
The implementations of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems forReady-Made Clothing Sector, are mainly examined in this study.ERP Systems is defined as, company-wide modular software packages thatutilizes information management systems to enable enterprises to manage all of theirwork processes. A survey was held through a few enterprises, which are middle sizeor big size companies, in Ready Made Clothing Sector, and the approach ofenterprises in Ready-made clothing sector to ERP, the expectations of thecompanies from ERP and the benefits they gathered from ERP had been analyzed.To improve the ready-made clothing sector and strengthen its competititonpower in international markets, the developments in information technologies shouldbe followed continuously. Nowadays, the competition in market is not only areal, butnational or even international. Within this competitive business environment, thecompanies, who want to sustain their competitive advantage, must revise their visionand strategies .Excessive competition is forcing the companies, to increase the quality oftheir products and services, to decrease their reaction time to the market changes, andin addition to decrease their costs. To accomplish these tasks; companies must planand control their functions, processes and resources as a whole. ERP software?,which acts as a power factor in standardization of enterprise to increase the productand production quality as well as productivity, will be an important competitiveadvantage for companies.The current status of the ERP systems in ready-made clothing sector and itsfuture must be carefully examined and their importance should be re-considered.
