Scholars growing up in Bukhara in the Middle Ages and their works

In Central Asia, scientific studies were supported by the influence of the religion of Islam, and the center of science that came to the fore in this field was Bukhara. Considering the history of the Central Asian cities, it is noteworthy that cities have some characteristic features here, as in many parts of the world. This sometimes stems from the political and social policies that states have implemented on cities. Sometimes it is due to the fact that cities continue to maintain the characteristics they have regardless of which state they are ruled. Bukhara has always stood out among the Central Asian cities with its religious and scientific features. It has hosted many religions since its establishment, has always preserved its religious character and still carries its traces on it. The most important advantage of this situation is that people belonging to different religions live in the same geography for many years and exchange culture. This cultural exchange also ensured the formation of the identity of the city and made it open to differences. Perhaps the most basic problem of human beings from past to present is that they try to stop their instinct to question. The clearest and most striking example of this was Europe in the Middle Ages. However, mankind has benefited from situations that permit this questioning, encourage research and development, and innovation. In Central Asia, Bukhara has become a city that can be questioned in every sense. Respect and trust in scholars made the city even more important. At the same time, as an important education-training center in Central Asia, it has trained many scholars. In the specified period, scientific learning activities, which are a result of Islamic culture in Central Asia, mostly came out in Bukhara. Bukhara has become a center of science in this respect.
