Historicial geography of Erzincan in the Middle Ages

Erzincan has been an important settlement since the early ages and has hosted many civilazations. The geographical location of the Erzincan is experienced here, and besides making it a homeland, Erzincan is also an important center for Anatoliato find its way from Central Asia to Anatolia. Erzincan and its environs has been a region where many events take place. Therefor, Erzincan is important for the history of Anatolia. Even if Mongol domination was established for a short period after the Turks in 11th century, it always remained in Turkish sovereignity. In this study, we tired to convey hoe geography affects the history of a region and how it contributes by giving information about the historical geography of Erzincan.
