Abstract (EN)
Demand on information security increases day by day. To meet this requirement, steganographic techniques have a considerable place. Basically steganogoraphy aims hiding an entity into a place and its extraction by desired people. Undetectability of hidden entity by third parties is the main objective. Buried treasure could be an example for this. Electronic steganography is hiding a bit stream into another bit stream. Objective of this work is to gather some methods of steganography in a library that would be achieved at the electronic medium in a library. In this context a steganographic library independent from medium and method is designed and an application which uses this library is developed. By using design patterns, flexibility in the library is achieved, thus easily adding new techniques and mediums becomes possible. It can hide data on sound, image and video files. LSB, LSBM and LSD methods are supported. Most of the studies in the literature utilizes audio and image files as hiding medium. Because of their capacity, these medias limit hiding capacity. This work exceeds this limit as it can hide on video files. The key point that distinguishes this work from others is that it uses both image and audio domain together in video file so it takes security to an upper level. Also real time hiding into video taken from webcam is implemented within the scope of this work. Thus video production according to the size of secret file is provided. Meanwhile possibility of detecting the existence of steganography by comparing with original video has been suppressed. The success of hiding process is evaluated with various steganalysis and noise measurement methods and the results have been given.Key Words : Steganography, Data hiding, Data embedding, LSB
