Abstract (EN)
Learning organizations is as valuable as learning individuals. Learning how administrators and teachers working in different educational institutions have an understanding of their organization can serve as a guide for schools to tackle the challenges of becoming a learning organization. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of secondary school administrators and culture and vocational teachers working in official secondary schools within the boundaries of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality on the concept of learning organization. The research is descriptive. 36 administrators and 400 teachers from 13 secondary schools participated in the study. Questionnaire was used to collect data. A two-part questionnaire was used to determine the perceptions of administrators and teachers about the concept of learning organization. In the first part of the it, there are 29 items related to demographic characteristics of administrators and teachers, and in the second part, sub-dimensions related to personal competence, cognitive models, common vision, team learning and system thinking aiming to reveal the views of administrators and teachers about learning organization. Percentage, arithmetic mean, t-test, one-way analysis of variance were used in the statistical analysis of the data. Significance value was taken as .05. The LSD test (the least significant difference test) was used to determine the difference between the groups where the difference was significant. According to findings; 1. According to the opinions of administrators and teachers about the learning organization; significant differences were found in cognitive model and system thinking. 2. In the views of the administrators and teachers about the learning organization according to the task; significant differences were found in the personal competence, cognitive model and team learning sub-dimensions. 3. According to the schools where managers and teachers work in their opinions about the learning organization; cognitive model, common vision and system thinking. 4. There was no significant difference in the opinions of administrators and teachers about the learning organization compared to the schools they graduated from.
