Özet (EN)
This research is made for the examination of relation between the secondary educatin students whomget social supports from their family and their behaviour of suicide probability.Working sample is the students who are in the area of Tuzla, İstanbul in 2011-2012 education year.Sample is the 265 students those join this research.Research datas are collected from ?Aileden Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği? (Eskin 2003, Yıldırım, 1997) ve ?İntihar Olasılığı Ölçeği? (Cull ve Gill 1990, Şahin ve Durak?ın 2000).In the first part of three part scale is about personal informations, the second part is about 20 attitude expressions for measuring the familys' social supports and the third part is about 36 evaluation expressions to measure the behaviour of suicide proabability. The datas which collected from the scales are coded and solved with the help of SPSS packet program. Frequancy and percentage distrubition are taken from the first part's datas of the scale. "t" test and Mann Witney U test are usedto determine the attitudes and perception of the students' differences by evalouating the mean, the standart deviation and the difference between the students' attitudes and perceptions for two samples of independent observations. For more than two samples of independent observations one way variation analysis and Kruskal Wallis are used. It is tested on ? = 0.05 significant level to find if there is a significant difference between the opinions. These are the finding form the research.1. Social support levels from the families are average.2.There is no significant differences between the social support levels according to gender, age, living with both parents, financial situations.3. In the evoluation of social support levels according to the students' classes, it is observed that there are significant differences between the 10th class students and 11th class students. 11th class studendts get more social support.4. In the evoluation of social support levels according to the school types, it is observed that there are significant differences between the "Endüstri Meslek Lisesi" students and "İmam Hatip Lisesi" students. "Endüstri Meslek Lisesi" students get more social support.5. In the evoluation of social support levels according to the school sections, it is observed that there are significant differences between the equally distrubited section students and non-section students. Equally distrubited section students get more social support.6. In the evoluation of social support levels according to the father's education levels, it is observed that the students whose father graduated from the college get more social support more than the students whose father graduated from the elemantary school.7. In the evoluation of social support levels according to the mother's education levels, it is observed that the students whose mother graduated from the college and high school get more social support more than the students whose mother graduated from the elemantary school.8. The probability of suicide of the students are on the average level.9. There is no significant differences for the suicide probability according to gender, father's education level, living with both parents, the place where they live and financial status.10.According to the ages, it is observed that suicide probability scale total points at the negative self-extinction sub-dimension, at the age of 16-17 students have more suicide probability levels than the age of 14-15 students. Also there is a seperation on connecting to life and anger sub-dimension.11. According to the students' classes, it is observed that there are differences on suicide probability scale total points at the negative self-extinction sub-dimension andconnecting to life and anger sub-dimension. 10th class students have more suicide probability level than 11th class students. On the connecting to life and anger sub-dimension 9th class students have more suicide probability level than the 11th class students.12. According to the school types, it is observed that on suicide probability scale total points at the negative self-extinction sub-dimension andconnecting to life and anger sub-dimension "imam hatip lisesi" students have more suicide probability level than "endüstri meslek lisesi", on the other school types "imam hatip lisesi" students have highest suicide probability level and "endüstri meslek lisesi" have lowest suicide probability level.13.According to the sections, it is observed that on suicide probability scale total points at the negative self-extinction sub-dimension andconnecting to life and anger sub-dimension non-section students have more suicide probability level than equally distrubited section students.14. In the evoluation of suicide probability levels according to the mother's education levels, the students whose mothers are graduated from the primary school have more suicide probability level than the students whose mothers are graduated from the high school.15. It is observed that social support from the family scale is is significant when it is statistically negative direction to suicide probability scale, when the social support from the family rises suicide probability decreases.key words: Social support, suicide, puberty
