Abstract (EN)
Quantitative research on the Prediction of Nomophobia Levels of Secondary School Students by Psychological Symptoms was carried out using the relational research method. Demographic information form, Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI) and Nomophobia Scale were applied to the students. The sample of the study consists of 394 female and 366 male students studying in Sakarya. In order to determine the distribution in the data analysis, first of all, the normality test was performed in order to determine the relationship between Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, the Brief Symptom Inventory, which will answer the problem statement of the research, and the Nomophobia scales and its sub-factors, and Spearman Rank Differences Correlation method was used because it was not normally distributed. In order to solve the sub-problems in the research, Mann-Whitney U Test and Kruskal-Wallis Test, which are non-parametric methods, were applied. As a result of the research, as a result of the analysis of the data obtained from the research carried out, the level of nomophobia of the students was moderate, the female students got a significantly higher score from the nomophobia scale than the male students, there was a significant difference in the sub-dimension of not being able to go online according to the type of school attended. positive, very weak (r = .139; p<0.001); It was observed that there was a positive, weak and significant relationship (p<0.001) between not being able to be online, not being able to access information, being deprived of a device and the level of nomophobia in general.
