The analysis of the relationship between teachers' commiting themselves to profession and their subjective happiness

In this study, the objective is to ascertain the relationship between subjective well-being and professional dedication levels of teachers in state secondary schools in the city centre of Bolu. The population of this study was comprises 749 teachers working in public secondary schools which are affiliated with Bolu Provincial Directorate of National Education in the educational year of 2021-2022 in the city center of Bolu, 337 people participated in the study. In this study the data collection tools 'Teacher Subjective Well-Being Scale' and 'Dedication to Teaching Profession Scale' were used. Normality tests were performed for the scales. In consequence of the implementation it was designated that the distribution was not normal and the analyses were continued with the methods which are not parametric. Mann-Whitney U tests were preferred to compare between two groups and Kruskal – Wallis tests were preferred for three and more groups. Spearman Rho correlation analysis was executed to designate the link between teachers' individual welfare and their vocational commitment. When the Spearman Rho coefficients of the correlation analysis was eventually executed to evaluate the relationship between the teaching commitment scale and the individual subjective welfare scale were looked over, it was confirmed that there were favorable, moderate and weak significant relationships between the scales and their sub-dimensions. There is a significant positive relationship between the scales and their sub-dimensions.
