The team work in the secondary education schools

In this research, it is tried to be defined whether teachers and administrators as an education team or not in regard to some variables. The study takes as a universe all the administrators and teachers who work for state institutions of secondary education in the central borough of the province of Bolu. It was possible to reach 58 out of 73 school administrators, and 367 out of 584 teachers working in 16 such institutions. Survey method is used for this research. A five point Likert type ?team perception scale? developed by Mualla Bilgin Aksu, Demirtas and Atılgan (2005) is preferred as data collection instrument. The scale consisted of two parts. In the first part, there were seven questions about gender, participants? positions in the school (principal or teacher), participants? length of service, participants? length of service in their present school, branches, attending a training on TQM and team work. Part two consisted of thirty questions that asked about participants? perceptions about team work. Participants? perceptions about team work is determined acoording to the five-point Likert-type item scale: always (5), generally (4), sometimes (3), rarely (2), never (1). Statistical analyses including reliability, t-tests and analysis of variance were computed by using SPSS program. vi Some findings of the research are as follows: 1. The t-test is applied for looking to the difference between the perceptions belonging to the team work of the secondary education schools? managers and teachers. In their scools, The managers and teachers exposed that they are usually carrying out their team work, with another statement they moved in their schools with team spirit. As a result it exposed that there is no difference between the perceptions concerning to the team work of manager and teacher. 2. In the levels of perception concerning the team work?s of the personal characteristic such as secondary education schools? managers ,their sex, their branchs, their duty period in the schools where they are working, their education status, their proffesional seniority, their status of joining or not joining the team working course of inside duty education and the types of schools where the had duty there is no difference existed. 3. It was found that the variables of age and TQM status of joining or not joining the team working course of inside duty education directed to the managers? team work?s perceptins in the .05?s level caused a significant different. 4. In the levels of perception concerning the team work?s of the personal characteristic such as secondary education schools? teachers, their sex, their branchs, their duty period in the schools where they are working, their education status, their proffesional seniority, their status of joining or not joining the team working course of inside duty education and the types of schools where the had duty there is no difference existed. 5. The perceptions directed to the team work?s of the secondary education school?s teachers, In the level of .05 according to the variables of age, branch, proffesional seniority, status of joining or not joining the team working course of inside duty education and the types of schools where the had duty was showed a significant difference.
