Abstract (EN)

This research is done fort he purpose of defining the connection between the transformational leadership of the secondary school directors and the organizational commitment of teachers according to the teachers visions.The survey prepared fort he aim has been applied to the teachers of the whole secondary schools in the center district of Bolu in 2007-2008 education year. 465 valid surveys have been evaulated. The results of the survey have been evaulated by using statistical programme, SPSS 15.0 in computer. The analysis of regresion, t-testing and varience have been used in order to dertermine the connection between the variants made use of the statistics such as; reliability, periodicity and percentage illustrator.At the results of research, the connections between the transformational leadership characteristics of the directors such as; individual interest, mental encouragement and emotional obedience of teachers are at p<0.05 level. The connections between the transformational leadership characteristics of the directors such as; inspirate motivation, individual interest and mental encourgement and permanent commitment of the teachers are at p<0.05 level. The meaningful connections between individual interest of the directors and the normative commitment of the teachers have come out at the level of p<0.05.Key words: Transformational leadership, organiztional commitment, teacher
