Abstract (EN)

In this study it to aimed to determine context in which secondary school 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade science textbooks are associated with daily life. For this purpose, 7 association codes with daily life were determined. Associating codes with determined daily life; they are grouped as analogy, visuals, news, story, problem situations, knowledge for society and practice. The document analysis method was used for the study. According to the finding the first preferred association code in making associations in science textbooks is visually associations. In addition associations in terms of problem situations were presented to the students visually. In terms of news, story and analogy association codes were less preferred than other association codes. As a result it has been determined that visual associations are preferred because they are easier to remember, remarkable, suitable for the level of the student and effective. 2022, 83 Pages Keywords: Daily life, Science, Texbooks.
