Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between the 7th grade science course year-end report card grade and the level of associating the subjects learned in the 7th grade science course with daily life and the relationship between the level of associating with daily life and gender, mother and father education level, family income level. Relational screening method was used in the study. The study group of the research consists of 334 students studying in secondary schools in Bağlar, Kayapınar, Sur and Yenişehir districts of Diyarbakır. The "Associations with Daily Life Test" developed by the researcher was used to collect the data in the study. SPSS 27 package program was used to analyze the collected data. The opinions of two professors in the field of biology education, one doctoral faculty member in the field of science education and two expert science teachers were taken for the accuracy and content validity of the questions in the data collection tool. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine the measurement reliability of the questions. Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the 10-question Associations with Daily Life Test was calculated as 0.738. This value shows that the data collection tool has a high internal consistency. "Independent Groups t-Test" was used to determine the existence of a significant difference between the data obtained from the test and gender, Anova was used to determine the significant difference between mother and father education level, family income level, and Pearson Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between the 7th grade report card grade. As a result of the analysis of the data collected in the research, it was determined that the students could not write a suitable suggestion or reason for the suggestion for the majority of the questions, and the arithmetic mean of the scores the students received from the daily life association test was =15.365. This shows that students' level of associating it with daily life is low. It was determined that students' levels of associating with daily life did not differ significantly according to gender, mother and father education level, family income level variables. In addition, it was determined that the relationship between the students' 7th grade report card grades and their level of associating 7th grade science subjects with daily life was weak, positive and significant.
