Abstract (EN)

Effective learning is inevitable by doing experiments in the science course. Science experiments are one of the most basic learning ways that can not only attract the attention of the student, but also provide effective and permanent learning. Understanding the abstract and concrete concepts in the science course is not possible and permanent for middle school students whose abstract thinking skills have not yet developed. In this study, it was aimed to determine the attitude towards the laboratory in science education and the effect and consistency of laboratory practices on students' perceptions. Content analysis method was used to analyze the data. Findings obtained from the data obtained; The subjects that laboratory applications can be used are grouped under the titles of problems occurring in laboratory applications, students' attitudes towards laboratory in science education. As a result of the research, it was determined that the laboratory is important in the field of science, and the permanence of the subjects taught in the laboratory, based on the thinking skills of the students, is higher than the permanence of the subjects explained only through presentation. The fact that the time given to science lessons in the curriculum is limited, the lack of laboratories in schools and the lack of effective course materials can be expressed as factors that negatively affect the use of the laboratory
