Abstract (EN)

This research has three major purposes. The first one is to teachers who participated in the research by determining the perception of work-family conflict, is evaluated in terms of the independent variables. Secondly, teachers' perceptions of life satisfaction is determined and evaluated in terms of the independent variables. Thirdly, teachers' work-family conflict and to determine the relationship between life satisfaction. Therefore, survey research model and relational model are used together. The population of this research is Sahinbey central district located in the Gaziantep municipality consists of 3114 secondary school teachers. The research sample selected by the stratified sampling method consists of 526 teachers. In the study to determine the levels of work-family conflict is used "Work-Family Conflict Scale" is developed by the Netenmeyer, Boles and McMurran (1996). In order to determine the level of life satisfaction of teachers developed by the Diener, Emmons, Larsen and Griffin (1985) "Life Satisfaction Scale" is used. The SPSS software was used to analyze the data collected. The analysis of the data first included descriptive statistics. Teachers' work-family conflict and perceptions of life satisfaction varies according to the gender variable t-test to determine whether; experience, course work, school size and level of education varies according to the variables to determine whether the ANOVA test was performed. At the end of ANOVA test where there have been meaningful differences, LSD and Dunnett's C test was used to point out the source or sources of the difference. The effect size of the differences was tested using eta-square (η²) correlation coefficient. Teachers' work-family conflict and life satisfaction to determine the relationship between the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient was used for statistics. As a result of the descriptive statistics of teachers' work-family conflict and life satisfaction scales with the expressions "rare" and "medium" level has been determined that participated. Work-Family Conflict scale to the statements concerning teachers' perceptions independent variables were evaluated according to gender by the teacher perceptions of work-family conflict in size in favor of women were significant differences, family-work conflict size did not differ significantly. According to seniority of teachers' perceptions of family-work conflict with seniority in size between 6-10 years were significant differences in favor of teachers, work-family conflict did not differ significantly in size. According to Course load variable teachers' perceptions of family-work conflict in size over the course of 30 hours per week, and there were significant differences in favor of teachers who, work-family conflict did not differ in size. According to school size and level of education the variables of teachers' perceptions of work-family conflict and family-work conflict did not differ significantly in size.Life Satisfaction teachers' perceptions regarding the wording of the scale were evaluated according to the independent variables of gender, course load and school size variables did not differ significantly according to the perceptions of teachers. According to seniority in teacher perceptions of life satisfaction scale for teachers with 21 years or more showed significant differences in favor. According to the variable level of education in teacher perceptions of life satisfaction scale with associate degrees showed significant differences in favor of teachers.Medium and negative oriented relationship were found between the work-family conflict and life saticfaction and the family-work conflict and life saticfaction. As a result of work life affect family life associated with work-family conflict and family life affect work life associated with family-work conflict has a negative effect on life satisfaction can say that.
