Secondary schools teachers and students in terms of technology and design studies in the importance of industrial property

Since 2006-2007 school year, Technology and Design class has been put into effect with a differen curriculum instead of Job Training class. In Technology and Design class, the students who are willing to observe and investigate have been aimed. Human beings have the ability to think logically, solve problems, reshape the materials in nature and redesign them.The purpose of technology education is to develop the necessary insight,thoughts and skills to lead a better life than the present life. This condition makes it necessary to educate colleagues who learn and apply the new developments effectively. The aim of this research is learning the students' and teachers' opinions and comments and finalize about the importance of industrial property according to the teachers' and students' opinions in Tecnology and Design courses in Secondary Schools. This is a depictive study based on scanning model. By scanning literature, the researcher prepared questionnaires to apply to students and teachers. The Technology and Design teachers and students in Ankara Mamak, Altındağ, Çankaya and Yenimahalle constitutes the environment of the research. Because of not to be able to reach all of the environment, 114 teachers and 886 students accounts for the exemplification of the research. 114 teachers and 886 students have been applied questionnaires and the data obtained from the questionnaires will be analyzed using SPSS-17 statistics program. The quantitative data obtained with questionnaire form will be commented in findings part of the research. In Technology and desing course, related with intelletual property, the view of students and teachers is thought to be meaningfull statistically.
