Evaluation effect of the effect of flouride-releasing light-cured resin on preventive of white spot lesions during orthodontic treatment: Randomized controlled clinical trial

Organic acids that are generated by bacteriums passes through the interprizmatik holes on the enamel and solve Appetite Crystallınes, calsium and phosphate ions and thence carving out white spot lesions. At the present time, all the formation process are well known. Epidemic white spot lesions are frequently observed in individuals that do not care oral hygiene, have some chronic illnesses (Kserostomia, Serebral Palsy, etc…) are pregnant, have acidic erosion because of ilnesses like reflu, and are within an orthodontic treatment phase but can not maintain their oral hygiene. White spot lesions occuring during fixed orthodontic treatment are very important problems for both aesthetics and teeth health, many caries protective material that are used fort the purpose of preventing white spot lesions occuring in patients within an orthodontic treatment are tested out in vitro experiments.. In the in vitro experiments of Cpp- Acp (Tooth Mousse, RecaldentTM.; GC, Corp, Japan) , one of these materials was found very efectively in preventing white spot lesions. There are in vitro experiments in literature about Ortho coat (Ortho Choice, Pulpdent, Watertown, Mass) which is a new agent that prevents white spot lesions; but there is not in vivo experiments made about this material. In this thesis, intra oral of the patients that satisfies the criterias divided into 4 equal parts and after the bonding Ortho-coat and Cpp-Acp randomly applied to selected areas on the upper jaw and the other parts will be the control group. Measurements taken in the beginning of treatment and after the 6 months investigation period will be evaluated according to intra-group, inter-group and with respect to the control group comparisons. The purpose of this study to prevent white spot lesions which might be occuring because of inadequate oral hygiene and are considered as proloques of tooth decay. In this manner, it was thought that with this study, alongside making aesthetical and oral hygienic contributions to indivuals, by analyzing and investigating the effectiveness of those materials of discussion on preventing white spot lesions, there is contributions to the related literature. In the end of six months, as a result of the statisticalanalysis, Ortho coat applied areas by Cpp-Acp applied areas, there is less White spotlesionsin Ortho Coat appliedareas, lower values were obtained, this difference was statistically significant.
