Özet (EN)
The aim of orthognathic surgery is to correct dental malocclusion and facial deformity.Le Fort I osteotomy and Sagittal split ramus osteotomy are the most preffered two techniques for the treatment of maxillomandibular deformities. Although the advancements of these techniques in the last three decades, study to decrease the complications and relapses are going on. To use autologous bone graft or graft materials in different structures, are known to have positive effects on stability in the postoperative period of correction of bone defects that appear on maxilla after lefort I osteotomy. We studied 80 patients who underwent orthognathic surgery to treat the developmental malocclusions between 2003-2011, in the University of Çukurova, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Autologous bone graft and graft material of animal origin were retrospectively compared in the postoperative period of patients with cephalometric measurements and effects on stability of graft materials.Preoperative, one-week postoperative and at least 1 year postoperative lateral cephalometric results were evaluated for skeletal relapse. The sephalometric analysis for every vertical and horizontal movements of the maxilla were evaluated. The relation between detected relapse ratio postoperatively and greft material that was used in the surgical operations were statistically analyzed. Postoperative complications and relapses were compared with the literature.
