Özet (EN)

This study aims to evaluate a group of metal works in the collection of Osmaniye City Museum and obtained by donation. Archaeological and ethnographic artifacts belonging to different periods, consisting of swords, daggers, arrowheads, bracelet fragments and fibula fragments in our collection, are discussed and are introduced together in this thesis. With the Portable X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) method, analysis work was carried out without damaging the surface, without damaging the artifacts. By determining the chemical contents of the artifacts, detailed information about the ratios of the elements used in the formation of these artifacts could be obtained. In the analysis made on 15 artifacts, 4 artifacts are Bronze, Copper (Cu) is between 67.37% and 46.99%, Tin (Sn) is between 29.92% and 17.98%. It has been observed that these artifacts contain little amounts of iron. The main element of 11 artifacts is Iron (Fe), and their values are between 98.14% and 56.64%. Our study contributes to our access to information about the stages of mining by making use of the published ones after the analysis of metal artifacts unearthed or found individually during excavations in Anatolia.
