Abstract (EN)

1904-1905 Russian-Japanese War was caused by economic, political and military conflict between Russia and Japan as well as by Russias goal to reach warm waters and Japan?s desire to make itself a powerful country in Asia and in the World. Japan was the victorious side at the end of the war. The war was watched closely not only by the European press but also by the Ottoman press. This thesis, from the perspective of predominant Ottoman newspapers, aims to look at, in an analytical way, causes, process and results of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905.
