This work called type of alafranga in the Ottoman period Turkish novel tells the introduction of the concept of type to Turkish literature its inclusion in the novel genre, the course of its development and its features. The main aim of the study is to examine the type of alafranga which occupies an important and important place in the westernization adventure of the Turkish nation and thus the history of Turkish modernization. The Ottoman novel is a less utilized resource to understand and explain Turkish modernization. However, many novels contain important information about the time it was written.
