Rifle in the Ottoman art of war (15-17.centuries)

Ottoman Empire becomes one of most important state which has highly large territory and exist throughout history among Türkish states. Ottomans obtains these accomplishments substantially thanks to their wars. Firearms have a great affect on winning these wars, rifle is one of the most important fire arms together with gun . Rifles become indispensable arm in a time less than a century after it is invented. Rifle has affected the history of states in no small measure, it has an impact on not only political and military but also financial and social. After Ottomans make acquainted with rifle, they use it in a short time, Ottomans comprehended the importance of rifle on battle ground and started produce it. Contrary to the western resources ottomans use their own rifles. Ottomans also regulate its arm a way that they can use the rifle on battle grounds. This condition prove that ottomans use their own tactics. In this thesis the rifles used by ottomans until XVIII. are tried to be introduced in detailed and to be done a study in a reliable way.
