Abstract (EN)

This study the view of Qadızade Mehmed Efendi he lived at the beginning of the 17th century towards Shia is discussed. He was a preacher of Hagia Sophia and he harshly criticized the failures in society in his sermons. Qadızade authored the works "Nasru'l-Ashâb ve'l-Ahsâb ve Kahru'l-Kilâb es-Sebâb fi Reddi'r-Ravâfıd" and "Menâkibu's-Sahâba ve Mesâlibu'r-Ravâfiz" about Shia. Firstly, the study discussed political structure of the period in which Qadızade lived. Also, the study briefly mentioned about many scholars their works, and their view about Shia from the 15th century to the time of Qadızade Mehmed Efendi who have authored works about Shia. Later, there is a detailed examination of Qadızade's life, works, and works he wrote about Shia. There is an emphasis on his place in the Qadızade's movement. Qadızâde criticized and declared Shia an unbeliever because of imamate, cursing the companion, taqiyya, the attitudes towards Aisha and for many beliefs and deeds. In addition, when his works are examined in detail, it can be said that his goal is not to destroy the Shia, but to raise awareness of the Sunni community against the Shia.
