The effect of authentic leadership behaviors on organizational identification and organizational support: Example of metropolitan municipality

The aim of this research is to determine the effects of authentic leadership behaviors of municipal employees on organizational identification and organizational support. In addition, as a result of this research, It is expected to contribute to the development of authentic leaders, identification in the organization and taking the necessary measures on the support opportunities in the organization. In order to achieve this goal, "Authentic Leadership", "Organizational Identification" and "Organizational Support Scales" were applied to 255 employees in the Metropolitan Municipality using the survey method. SPSS23 program was used in the analysis of the collected data. Frequency and reliability analyzes were performed. Then, normality test was applied and correlation and hierarchical regression analyzes were performed. Hierarchical regression analysis with organizational support, wich is the mediating variable, was applied to determine the effects of the variables against each other. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that authentic leadership behaviors affect organizational identification and organizational support, organizational support affects organizational identification, and organizational support has a mediating effect on the effect of authentic leadership behaviors on organizational identification.
